Community Guidelines

Oye Buddy is for meeting real people nearby, kindly and safely. These rules apply to profiles, photos, Buddy Feed posts and chats.

Be real

• Use your own name and recent photos of yourself. No celebrities, cartoons or other people.
• You must be 18 or older. We remove anyone under 18.
• One account per person.

Be respectful

• No harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying or discrimination based on religion, caste, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or region.
• "No" means no. If someone does not reply or asks you to stop, stop.
• No unsolicited sexual messages or images.

Keep it safe

• No nudity or sexual content in photos or posts. Nothing involving minors, ever.
• Do not share anyone's private details, phone number, address or exact location without their permission.
• No violence, weapons, drugs or anything illegal.

No scams or spam

• Never ask for money, gifts, investments, crypto, or bank or UPI details.
• No promotions, selling, recruiting or links to other services.
• No fake profiles, bots or automated messages.

Buddy Feed

Buddy posts are invitations ("Chai at Marine Drive at 6. Join me?"). Keep them friendly and public: meet in public places, and don't post anything you would not say to a stranger.

What happens if you break the rules

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or permanently remove accounts. Serious cases, especially involving minors or threats, may be reported to the authorities.

Report and block

Use Report in any chat if someone breaks these rules, and Block to stop all contact. Reports are confidential. You can also write to our Grievance Officer at [email protected].
