Child Safety Standards (CSAE Policy)
Last updated: 14 October 2026
OyeBuddy is a dating and social app for adults, operated by Oyeteck Innovations in India. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out our child safety standards.
Zero tolerance for CSAE and CSAM
OyeBuddy strictly prohibits any content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children. This includes:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, edited or AI-generated material.
- Grooming, sexualising, or soliciting a minor, or trying to meet a minor.
- Sextortion, trafficking, or any sharing, requesting or linking to content that exploits children.
Any account involved in CSAE is permanently removed, and we report it to the authorities.
Strictly 18+
- OyeBuddy is only for adults aged 18 or over. At signup, every user must enter their date of birth. We calculate their age from it, in the app and again on our servers, and block anyone under 18: an account cannot be completed with a date of birth under 18. We store the date of birth only for this age check and show other users only the age, never the birthday.
- If we find, or are told, that an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove the account and delete their data.
- Photos and profiles are reviewed by our moderation team when reported.
Reporting and blocking in the app
- Tap Report on any profile or in any chat to report a user. Choose the Underage reason for anything involving a minor. Reports are confidential.
- Tap Block to stop all contact with someone immediately.
Review and removal
A dedicated safety review team checks reports. Child safety reports get the highest priority. We promptly remove content and accounts that break this policy, keep the evidence the law requires, and work with law enforcement.
Reporting to authorities
When we become aware of CSAM, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to Indian authorities, through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) or law enforcement, as required by law. This includes the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
Compliance with the law
OyeBuddy complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including the POCSO Act, the IT Act and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as well as Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
Reporting outside the app
You do not need an account to report a concern. Email grievance@oyebuddy.in (or support@oyebuddy.in) with the profile name, a description and any screenshots. If a child is in immediate danger, call 112. You can also report directly at cybercrime.gov.in or by calling 1930.
Child safety point of contact
Our designated child safety contact is our Grievance Officer.
